Write For Us
Are you a thought leader in the IT and cybersecurity space with valuable insights to share? We welcome guest contributions from experts who are passionate about sharing their knowledge. If you have a compelling article idea or a finished piece you’d like us to consider, we invite you to review our contributor guidelines and connect with us.
Our Content Philosophy
We strive to publish content that is not only informative but also practical and actionable for our readers. Our blog caters to a diverse audience, but we primarily target management-level roles within small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs). Therefore, your writing should offer advice and perspectives that are relevant to the SME community.
Contributor Guidelines: Setting You Up for Success
To ensure a smooth and transparent process, we’ve outlined the following guidelines for all guest submissions.
Content Requirements:
- Length: Articles should be a minimum of 800 words to provide in-depth value to our readers.
- Originality and Exclusivity: All submissions must be 100% original and not published elsewhere, either before or after submission to our blog. We utilize plagiarism checks to maintain the integrity of our content.
- Tone and Audience: Your tone should be educational and insightful, focusing on practical advice rather than self-promotion. While our audience is in the IT and cybersecurity field, their technical knowledge will vary. Please define any technical terms and spell out acronyms in parentheses on their first use.
Formatting and Style:
- Structure: Please use subheadings, bullet points, and short paragraphs to enhance readability and break up the text.
- Visuals: We encourage the use of helpful visuals like infographics and images to engage our readers. Ensure that all supplied images are copyright-free and include a link to the original source. Any data presented in infographics should also cite the source.
- Linking Policy: You are welcome to include external links to authoritative websites. One relevant, non-promotional link to your own domain is permitted within the body of the article. We also encourage you to link to other relevant posts on the Cyber Tec blog.
Editorial Process:
- Proofreading: Please thoroughly proofread your article for any spelling and grammatical errors before submission.
- Editing: We reserve the right to edit submissions for clarity, tone, and style. However, we will always share the final version with you for approval before it goes live.
